Rheinland-Pfalz — Rhineland-Palatinate — A Visual Splendour
Rheinland-Pfalz is, among Bavaria and Baden-
Wurttemberg, one the most famous German states and tourist regions.
It is also popular with most of the U.S. Americans living in Germany, who love to congregate at the region's many festivals held in countless villages.
Each town in Rheinland-Pfalz, whose English name is actually Rhineland-Palatine, celebrates its festivals throughout the year, especially during the wine season of September.
Rhein Valley, among the largest and most prominent castles in Rheinland-Pfalz, celebrates the Rhine Aflame (Rhein in Flammen), glorifies a famous dual where one of the castles is flamed up in bright orange and there are fireworks galore!
The Palatinate region has its own specialties, such as Saumagen, a bologna prepared with pork and potatoes, sliced and grilled. The people here love wine more than beer, and many of Germany's exported white wines come from this region.
Rhineland-Palatinate offers an array of exciting choices for hanging around in towns, rivers and countryside — Nordic Walking parks, guided cycle paths and a seemingly relentless choice of trails. You can tackle the River Lahn by canoe, visit the Glan Valley by railroute, enjoy a thrilling taste of adventure on a treetop walk or the new Rheinsteig trail and enjoy unlimited freedom by horseriding.
A journey through boat on the Moselle or the Rhine is more peaceful but no less impressive. There are lushgreen, charming wonderful golf courses throughout the region. A Farm Holiday in Rheinland-Pfalz could land you with an opportunity to enjoy local foods, hospitality and friendly environment along with nature and the rural life.
Rhineland-Palatinate, in the heart of Germany, is a real treasure trove of tales and eventful history. From the ancient period, settlements through the Celts, the Romans and the Franks right up to the present day, it has always been a region brimming with adventure and excitement.
Magnificent castles, majestic palaces, towering churches and atmospheric abbeys bring forth the rich history of Rheinland-Pfalz. Wherever you go in this region, the past and the present are always closely interwoven.
Plenty of its historical buildings are not merely sight shores but they are also brought to life by a variety of cultural events. The entertainment on offer could wary from culture at wineries to major gala events. Perhaps it's the mix of history and romance that captivates us.
The Rheinland-Pfalz region is a real paradise for connoisseurs and wine lovers. Nowhere else you might get top-quality wine growing regions, closely held together, making a tour here as marvellous and exciting veritable viticulture journey.
If you love the idea of leaning and slumbering amid the vines, why not get the holiday package at a winegrowing estate in Rheinland-Pfalz? Magnificent scenery, a glorious cultural legacy and a comfortable bed in a cosy Rhineland-Palatinate vineyard guesthouse await you.
Just make sure to tell me your own Rheinland-Pfalz story once you've been there!
