Cologne Zoo Park — Where Animals Kiss Your Hands
The Cologne Zoo Park, considered as Cologne's Animal Kingdom, has more than 7,000 animals of 500 species from all continents and oceans of the world.

The gardens were landscaped in 1863 according to designs by Peter Josef Lenné and Joseph Maria Olbrich. The botanical garden was added in 1914. He is Germany's third oldest Zoo Park.
The site, which was destroyed during the Second World War, was restored completely and now has a stock of plants including approx. 12,000 species.
The Cologne Zoo is located in Riehler Straße, directly adjacent to the Botanic Gardens.
